Who is the Academy for?
The Academy is for anyone with the passion to learn about entrepreneurship, development, product management and other skills within the start-up community.
Our new event and short-class centered approach allows us to engage more people on their terms. Short events and classes allow more people to take part because the time and monitary commitment is much more manageable.
While time frames for classes and events will vary, one can expect them to range from a class that may be a 1 night 4 hour intensive with a laser focus, or a 1-3 day event with a much broader range of topics. They will also target different skill levels, some will be for beginners and some will be for people who have some more experience under their belts and want to do some career development. We appreciate that we are all at different levels and want to engage all of our peers regardless of where they are at.
We embrace differences and appreciate that some of the most impactful people in this industry have wildly varying backgrounds. Having a different point of view and a different background than others doesn’t put you at a disadvantage. It makes you an asset! Which is why short events and classes that highlight different points of view are the most beneficial in our eyes. In HFC alone, we have people who were aerospace engineers, composers, athletes and artists. One of the things we all have in common is that we love technology and we each found our own unique way here. We celebrate all styles of learning, and the curriculum will be challenging and exciting!
If you are someone who loves a challenge and being surrounded by people that share that passion, the academy events are for you!
